One of the city’s symbols is the 47 modern cable cars, linking three stations along the south side of Balneário Camboriú’s waterfront, ascending to Morro da Aguada and descending to Laranjeiras Beach, making it the only cable car in the world to connect two beaches.
What is visited?
On the 202,000 m² of total area, with 132,000 m² of preserved land, there are attractions for all tastes and ages, catering both to visitors seeking city landmarks and thrill-seekers looking for adventure and adrenaline.
Each cabin accommodates eight passengers, and the full round-trip journey covers 3,250 meters and lasts approximately 30 minutes without stops.
In 2018, the classic blue and white cabins were replaced with new models. The 47 new cabins, made of aluminum and polycarbonate, provide 360-degree views of Balneário Camboriú’s stunning beaches.
This upgrade reduced boarding lines, increasing the Unipraias Park capacity by 50 %, while offering more comfort with larger cabins. It also benefits people with special needs, as all new cabins are designed for safe and quick boarding. Each cabin measures 2 meters long, 2.10 meters high, and 1.77 meters deep.
